I’m Natalie, a freelance creative consultant specialising in print design, visual direction, styling and illustration, with an instinctive eye for colour and pattern.
I was born in Southport, a seaside town in the north west of England. I studied BA Fashion & Textiles at Winchester School of Art before moving to London, where I spent an inspiring few years at the Royal College of Art working towards an MA in Womenswear Knitwear.
Following this I spent six years at Orla Kiely. There, as Senior Designer, I worked on print and design development across all areas of the company, as well as overseeing special projects and collaborations including Tate, Habitat, Sainsburys and Brita.
Now based in Hove, I have worked for over 10 years on a wide variety of freelance projects and regularly consult for fashion and interior brands.
Alongside printed textile and illustration commissions, I work on visual direction for brands and licensing. I love to tell stories through creating a mood with images, where colour is key. Clients include Marks & Spencer, Caramel London and Orla Kiely.
I am a down to earth Northerner who values authenticity in my work and life. I am inspired by all things in nature and the outdoors. I love fresh air, toasted teacakes and Liverpool FC.
